meet the boys

The man who started it all:
THE KING OF CHICAGO.

He is addicted to Oreo Cookie ice cream, cards on his iPhone, and anything sports-related.  You’ll often find him flexing at the gym or playing 16inch softball. You think I’m kidding, but I catch him flexing in the mirror. Often.  If the King had it his way, we’d eat meat for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Not surprising, he is a damn good cook and loves to grocery shop.  Which are two of the reasons I married him.  The King and I (no pun intended) have been together since 2003.

MOOSE PIE JONES, born October 2007
If Moose had it his way, he’d watch Super Why on a loop while consuming massive amounts of chips and cookies.  Moose has a real name, but we really do call him Moose.   He’s a true bookworm who is a little on the shy side, which is not surprising considering how obnoxious his parents are.
This blog was born because of Moose.  Back in 2009, Moose qualified for Early Intervention for speech and developmental delays.  Later we learned of some food allergies, and the rest is blog history.  Moose’s favorite books lately are food related, of course.  THE TOOTH BOOK by Dr. Seuss and THE VERY HUNGRY CATEPILLAR by Eric Carle.  Notably, the pages with cupcakes, cookies, and ice cream.

MONKEY MAGOO, joined the estate in July 2009

Monkey is our future frat boy.  He’s a social butterfly who flirts with teenage girls by batting his insane eyelashes.  He enjoys torturing our wonderdog Doodle, climbing on Moose’s bed, and giving us the stink eye when he’s angry.  Currently, Monkey is a human garbage disposable who often eats Moose under the table. His favorite book  is WHERE IS THE GREEN SHEEP by Mem Fox.
