WIWW: Outfit- Vampire Weekend @ Pitchfork Music Festival

Over the weekend, I was lucky to see one of my favorite bands: Vampire Weekend.  Read more about that here.
I was so happy, that an imaginary cassette tape floated near my head like dialogue balloon all day.

This is the smile of a mother leaving the kids with the husband.  Bemused.  To say the least.

This royal blue necklace has been worn on repeat, because I have yet to restring the 8 necklaces my sons have destroyed this summer alone.

In due time.

I’m just a girl with a new haircut, and it’s a pretty nice haircut.  Name that band.  Hints: “Circa 1990s”. “Another word for cement”.

The “it” bag.  Don’t remember where I bought it.  It’s buttery and perfect.  With lovely zippered insides to avoid the pickpocketing.

C’mon, I’m born and raised in Chicago.  Sometimes, especially at crowded concerts, it’s function over fashion.

But never in the shoe department. Case in point, you are the only girl at Pitchfork in platforms.
shirt: forever 21    ::  grey skinnies: old navy  ::  triple-strand necklace: similar here  ::
platform sandals: @ DSW on clearance for $35. sigh.  you are luckier than me ::
boho bag: here {if you are rich}
Going to a concert with your younger brother on a perfect summer night in Chicago: priceless.
Thanks, Rick, for the early birthday gift!
See you next week, as I plan my next escape from the kids,
Nicolette

    Cute outfit! I have a very similar necklace! I hope my son doesn’t start breaking my necklaces… he’s only 7 months old now but hasn’t yet broken anything although he loves to grab them and put them in his mouth…
