A weekend evening sans children…
is reason even to celebrate.
A quiet meal without food being thrown or ketchup included.
Briefly remembering what it was like, many moons ago, when it was just “us”.
8 years of many ups and a few valleys…
Reason enough to shower, get the hair out of a pony tail, and get semi-dressed up.
So, also on repeat this purse…
and these sandals…
It’s a good thing I’m not a fashion blogger, because you all would be throwing stones at me. In real life, don’t we all wear things to death?
I use my purses until they are holey beyond repair, and my shoes til they disintegrate.
With the husband as a photog, here’s the outfit in total. I love this emerald green. This summer I’ve really been playing with color more.
Here’s the details:

You look so cute! I wear stuff till it’s falling apart or gets misshapen from too many washings. Or, like my last purse, gets 7 ounces of breast milk poured into it and can’t be washed so it gets that awesome ‘old milk’ scent that just *does not* wanna come out. awesome.
I think most people, even those in the blog world, wear things until they fall apart! I’m a firm believer in this practice.
PS–Do you live in downtown Chicago? I’m originally from Joliet, and I went to UIC for college (southside ChiTown).
Not downtown. Northsider!
Happy Anniversary, Nicolette! And you both look great! I concur- I wear stuff until it’s flat worn out and then pack it away, only to get it out the next year to wear again as though it were new :} If there is a clothing budget in this house, it belongs to the kids for the most part.
Hope you have an awesome rest of the week!
Look at you Hottie!! Love that dress. and the Teal and Blue Perfect..
