WIWW: Outfit- Mint & 50 Shades of Grey

Okay.  So there are two shades of grey, in this outfit.  Three if you count my hypercolor eyes. {Remember those tee-shirt in the late 80s

Yes, I just finished book one.  Still haven’t bought book #2.

Now, onto the reason you are reading…

I scored this ring at a cool vintage shoppe near my home in Chicago.

I like to think the woman who owned it before me had quite the social life.  Unlike me.

I still can’t get used to this photographing myself thing.
A fashion blogger I am not.

I like the three strands of the necklace versus the three rope detail on the blouse.  There’s a rule of three in design, should I be recalling my dusty bachelor’s degree.

The lone full-length mirror in our 1938 home.

I totally cleaned up the toys for this shot.

Not.

This skirt should be in everyone’s wardrobe.  It fits like a glove, and has amazing texture.

I recently used a gift card I had leftover from Christmas {gasp!} to buy these Madden Girl platforms.
Under $40.  Looks like a dress shoe, feels like a sneaker.  Whomever invented platforms, I love you.

These will be worn on repeat this summer.  Even with the boys in tow.

Enough navel gazing.

Here’s the rundown and the where and cost:

Shirt: Macy’s on clearance: 2011.  $11?
Skirt: Lucky dogs, you. Forever 21 still has it. $12.80!

It will be a classic in your wardrobe.  Love it.
{ I bought it in a medium and wore it more as a maxi-ish/tea-length, because my legs are too pale right now}

Shoes: Madden Girl Platforms.  Carson’s.  $35ish on sale.  Free for me, because I had a gift card.  In natural color here.
Ring: Vintage $10.
Necklace: Forever 21.  Similiar in style, but here in fuschia

See you back next week for WIWW.
