Greatest Hits of 2011: Craft/DIY Edition

This has been my first full year blogging, and there’s a lot to show for it.  I started this blog in secret to document my struggles with my son’s autism…

and it’s become a place for me to escape.
 create. and dream.

and still deal with said struggles with food  and gluten and autism and motherhood.

I began to incorporate more than autism and food last fall. I took it public in 2010 during Halloween after I learned of craft/DIY/food blogs.

I can’t imagine my life without this space.

I may have lost my mind without this community.  This blog has given me back my creative side.

 I thank you all for your support and love this past year.

{My first header picture, without words, because I didn’t know what the hay I was doing}

Here’s some of my projects that have garnered the most eyes this year:

She’s the most popular.  And a little vain, because of all the pins and attention and paparazzi lights.
She even gets hits in the heat of summer.

This boards’s giving Miss Popularity above a run for homecoming queen.
I love her.  She makes me want to dress up.
One of my favorite’s that graces my sofa in the front room.
It was much cheaper than the real deal at Z Gallerie.
This was a gift for a very close friend.
It’s high time I made one for myself.

This next project’s been garnering steam on Pinterest lately, given that Christmas-is-over-and-oh-crap-there’s-already-Valentine’s-stuff-in-stores!
 I love looking back at this post, because my writing style and photography’s changed so much in a year…
{Didn’t have the iPhone rockin’ back then}
{so simple, you’ll be all like, Why didn’t I think of that???}

One of my favorites…a leprechaun trap for the kids.

That’s all folks.

I’ll be posting my favorite personal posts of 2011 later this week.

Happy New Year to all.

Much love,
Nicolette
