CMV and Autism: A piece of our puzzle. Solved.

Just got a letter from Santa from Moose’s doctor with the test results from recent bloodwork.

On Christmas Day.

This is the best gift a mother could ask for…an answer pointing us in the right direction for new treatment.

Moose has something called CMV {cytomegalovirus}.

The bad news?  It causes autistic-like symptoms and developmental delays.

The good news?  It can be treated!

We visit our doctor right after the new year, and I cannot wait to start treating this!

If your child has delays, please find a doctor to run viral titers.  It could be a piece of your puzzle as well.

Most parents wouldn’t want “bad news” on Christmas.  But this is good “bad news”….

Happy Holidays to all.  Keep us in your prayers…

Congrats on your good bad news. I can relate, sometimes we cringe and rejoice at the same time when we figure out another “piece” of the puzzle, but each time we do and treat there is always a big improvement. Keep us posted on how his treatment goes.
