I’m so Pinterested!: My Imaginary Daughter {a new series}

Hi, I’m Nicolette and I am addicted to Pinterest.  If you haven’t drunk the Kool-Aid that is the pinterest, then come on by and I will pour you a tall glass.

*note, PLEASE pin from the original source, NOT this blog*

As a mama of two lovely little boys, I still year for a girl at times.  There is too much testosterone and boy junk going on in my house.  And a lot of pee on the floor.

You know how when you are a kid you have an imaginary friend?  I have one and I am well beyond the kid years.  She’s 6 and she helps me with the boys. Her name is Annabelle Marie.

In honor of “Annabelle”, I created a board “For my Imaginary Daughter”.  Seeing these darling images makes me think, “Well, a third c-section wouldn’t be that bad.”

The King has proclaimed he’s a “man maker” and can only have sons.  ”Men make MEN!” he says.  Pish posh.  I want me a partner in crime.

She kinda looks like Monkey a wee bit.  But you know like a girl and stuff.

I still rock knots like this and I’m 31.  Ha.

Ah, the power of color.

Oh the fun I would have cloth diapering this kid alone…{now that I can sew a wee bit}

We could read books and share secrets and talk trash into the wee hours.

She’d have mama’s taste in art:

These are some of the greatest hits.  If you love my taste in all things imaginary girl, go check out the rest of the board over here at the pinterest.

I think I may have a few invites left {pinterest is all exclusive and stuff}, so let me know if you’d like one!

Thank you for daydreaming with me.  Annabelle is calling me.  Those boys are hanging from the ceiling fan again.

*not paid or perked for this.  I just LOVE this site. The End.

  1. From someone also married to a “man-maker” I absolutely love this!! Witty as usual ;) I fell into the black hole of Pinterest myself, and too daydream about all the frilly, girly, stuff!

    Love her name too!

  2. As a mom to 3 boys I know where u are coming from I haven’t been on pinterest but I love the images makes me yearn for a little girliness around here

  3. Ohmygod, I LOVE your imaginary daughter! I need one, too! Seriously, as a fellow mama of 2 boys (6 y/o identical twins with ASD)and no more kids on the horizon (hubby’s choice, not mine), I totally understand the yearning.

    I don’t usually click over from Scary Mommy’s comments section, but I’m so glad I did this time. I’ll definitely be back! :-) -Erica

    I LOVE these! I don’t even have a baby yet – soon though hopefully soon! I have yet to go on pinterest because I’m worried that I would never get off and that I would have WAY to many ideas that I would spend all my time making crafts!

    I love it. You are too funny. May you someday receive your real Annabelle!

  6. TOTALLY UNDERSTAND!!! Two boys, 1 husband and 2 boy dogs in this house…I want a girl too (said in that kind of annoying whiney voice!)

    I just joined Pinterest, and oh, the possibilities! I just love how you have an imaginary daughter. I think I will have to start a board for my imaginary son!

  8. I LOVE pinterest. I think that who ever invented pinterest will someday make more money than the guy who invented facebook. And I love your imaginary daughter. Those pictures are AMAZING. I was lucky and got a girl before having 3 boys. I love my boys like CRAZY, but I want a girl next time. LIKE really really want a girl.
