Now that the Christmas tree is in its body bag, here’s what I did and didn’t accomplish this holiday season.
So, by December 25th, we will:1.) Take boys to see ghetto mall Santa2.) Make my very own Christmas cards with picasaweb (or costco/shutterfly if I am pressed for time)2.5) Mail said pictures by Dec. 19th3.) make GFCF Christmas cookies4.) make a mini- GFCFSF “ginger” bread house. There’s always next year…can you tell I am a Cubs fan?
5.) read all the Christmas books I own to the boys (just read some)6.) visit winter wonder fest at navy pier 7.) take the boys for a sled ride8.) make 2011 calendar for the house and grandparents9.) do some holiday handprint art
10.) leave a plate of cookies and a glass of coconut milk for gluten-free Santa (ie mama)-
arrived home too late on Xmas eve to do this…11.) edit and create a display for holiday cards12.) Bust out the Snoopy Snow Cone machine and make “snow” indoors
13.) Keep them up late one night to see the lights in Lincolnwood, IL…where the outdoor displays are to DIE for.
14.) Finish ABC books!
15.) Finish bean bags16.) Ship box to family out west
I wasn’t a slacker; I had two sick kids for two weeks. First, it was Monkey with a four day fever, then Moose with a double ear infection and four day fever.
Guess who’s sick now? Don’t be so macabre, that’s our Christmas tree ready to be stored in the garage.
