I’ve been wandering about the stores, fawning at all the Christmas decor. But, the price tags were outrageous. Maybe I’m just too cheap to spend $20 on a tree that will sit in my storage unit for eleven months of the year.
I paid a visit to my friend Michael’s and got the job done for next to nothing.
So, with a little spray paint and a visit to the clearance section, I created a tree using my obsession with all things damask-patterned.
On clearance for $1.99-
Behold…the damask chip board
So spray paint meets paper mache tree (only $2.49) out in the garage.
Did I mention it’s freezing here in Chicago?
Moments later, they dried and I returned to the warmth of my dining room makeshift studio.
Here she is. For under $8.
